If you've found a band that you feel that you have to tell the world about then here's the thread to do it.
You can post any band you want, as long as it's not your own or a band you work with. Make sure you include a link to a Myspace page, Youtube video or somewhere we can check them out but don't link to any downloadable media that may be subject to copyright.

Despite the dodge band name, these guys make a bloody marvellous noise:

Very mellow, but still heavy.

Griftegård

I'm going to go on about this band until everyone has checked them out. Proper old school doom, this lot are a right bunch of miserable bastards, but I love 'em . . .

Check out their Myspace

Chris played me some Griftegård and they are indeed rather good.

I'd also recommend checking out A Storm Of Light. They're a US doom band, and damn good! Also happen to be playing at the Engine Rooms on Thursday night...

If you haven't already check out Ancestors. Their first album, Neptune With Fire, is one of the best albums I've heard in a long time and their new release, Of Sound Mind is up there as well.

Plus check out this poster!!!

If you fancy a bit of straight up riffy doom-metal then check out Apostle of Solitude. It's not the most challenging stuff that's ever been released but they are satisfyingly riffy!
